Officials from several allied nations met this week to discuss a new initiative that would see the joint production of Patriot surface‑to‑air missile systems in Ukraine. The proposal aims to strengthen the country’s air defence network against the increasing frequency of Russian aerial incursions, including drone swarms and precision‑guided munitions. By establishing manufacturing facilities on Ukrainian soil, the partners hope to reduce reliance on long‑haul logistics and accelerate the deployment of upgraded missile batteries.
