YouTube Premium to add Peacock streaming in 2027
YouTube’s ad‑free Premium service will soon include access to NBCUniversal’s streaming platform Peacock, the companies announced Monday. Under a multi‑year agreement, Premium subscribers will be able to stream Peacock’s ad‑supported library of shows, movies and live sports directly through the YouTube app beginning in 2027. The bundled offering will be part of YouTube’s standard Premium plan, which was raised to $15.99 per month in April, according to a spokesperson for YouTube, Jessica Gibby, speaking to The Verge.
The integration makes the combined service less expensive than subscribing to each platform separately, as Peacock’s ad‑supported tier currently costs $10.99 per month. By adding Peacock to its existing subscription, YouTube provides a single‑payment option for users seeking both ad‑free YouTube content and Peacock’s programming, positioning the deal as a cost‑saving measure for consumers amid a competitive streaming market.
