Xi Urges Global Cooperation on AI Development

Chinese President Xi Jinping urged greater international collaboration on technology development during a high‑profile conference in Shanghai. Speaking to a gathering of government officials, industry leaders and academic experts, Xi highlighted the need for shared research, open standards and joint investment to accelerate progress in key areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing and advanced manufacturing.

The conference, held at the Shanghai International Convention Centre, brought together representatives from more than 30 countries and several leading technology firms.
