Western allies meet in Paris to boost defence aid for Ukraine
On Monday, Kyiv’s Western allies convened in Paris to reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine and to intensify pressure on Russia. The gathering, attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and at least 25 other heads of state and government, marked a high‑profile meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing.”
The leaders focused on expanding air and missile‑defence cooperation with Ukraine, agreeing to coordinate new procurement and deployment of defensive systems. The Paris talks also underscored a unified stance on sanctions and diplomatic measures aimed at curbing Russian aggression.
The coalition’s meeting signals a sustained and coordinated effort by Western partners to bolster Ukraine’s military resilience while maintaining a unified front against further Russian incursions.
