US Transition to 100% EVs Could Save Over 100,000 Lives by 2040
Air pollution linked to diesel emissions remains a pressing environmental and public health concern, with heavy-duty trucks and buses identified as significant contributors. According to recent studies, these vehicles account for a substantial portion of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM), pollutants linked to respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular issues, and climate change.
