US Ex-Marine Arrested at Trump Golf Course on Felony Charges

A former U.S. Marine was arrested Saturday evening at a Los Angeles golf course after police discovered a handgun, a rifle, a military service badge and several notebooks described by officers as “concerning.” The suspect, who has been identified only as a private citizen, was taken into custody on charges that include unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He has denied all allegations, saying the items were found in his possession by mistake.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the arrest occurred near the golf club’s clubhouse after a routine security sweep. The notebooks, which contain handwritten notes and diagrams, were seized for further investigation. The former Marine, who served in the Pacific theater during the 2010s, has no prior criminal record.
