US Cyclospora Cases Reach Record High

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed a significant outbreak of cyclosporiasis infections across the United States, marking the largest on record. As of the latest update, the CDC has verified over 4,173 cases of the infection since May 1, with the majority of cases reported in dozens of states. Notably, the outbreak has seen a substantial increase in recent weeks, with more than 2,500 additional cases confirmed.

The CDC has identified a significant disparity in the number of cases reported across different states, with some regions experiencing much higher infection rates than others.
