UNICEF reports Yemen conflict displaces over 57,000 children

Renewed fighting across Yemen has intensified an already severe humanitarian emergency, pushing a nation already strained by more than a decade of war into deeper crisis. The latest clashes have disrupted supply routes and damaged infrastructure, limiting the delivery of essential services and exacerbating food insecurity, displacement, and disease outbreaks throughout the country.

According to United Nations estimates, more than 12 million Yemeni children now rely on humanitarian assistance for basic nutrition, health care and education, a figure that underscores the scale of the emergency. Aid agencies report that the resurgence of hostilities has forced the suspension of several aid convoys, reduced funding, and heightened the risk to staff operating in volatile regions, further jeopardizing the already fragile support system.
