UN warns of ethnic cleansing in Israeli West Bank operation

More than 33,000 Palestinian refugees remain displaced following Israel’s launch of the military campaign known as Operation Iron Wall, which began in early August. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the International Committee of the Red Cross reported that the displaced persons are spread across temporary shelters in the northern Gaza Strip and in neighboring Jordanian camps, where overcrowding and limited access to water, electricity, and medical supplies have intensified humanitarian concerns.

Aid agencies say the displacement is a direct result of intensified airstrikes and ground operations that have damaged or destroyed thousands of homes and infrastructure.
