UN launches data platform aggregating millions of global crisis metrics

A coalition of international research institutions and data‑technology firms announced the launch of the Global Crisis Atlas, a unified digital platform designed to consolidate fragmented statistics on poverty, hunger, climate change, and related emergencies. The Atlas aggregates real‑time indicators from more than 80 national statistical offices, NGOs, and climate monitoring networks, presenting them through an interactive dashboard that allows policymakers, journalists, and the public to explore trends across regions and sectors. Development partners, including the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank, contributed funding and methodological guidance to ensure that the data meet standardized quality and comparability criteria.

Early users of the Atlas report that the integrated view facilitates more coherent analysis of how socioeconomic vulnerabilities intersect with environmental stressors, supporting coordinated response strategies.
