UN chief urges SCO to support more representative global governance

UN Secretary‑General António Guterres on Tuesday called on the leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to play a constructive role in reshaping global governance as the international system adapts to new challenges. Speaking at a summit of the SCO, the UN chief argued that a more genuinely multipolar order would reinforce multilateralism, promote fairness and better address the needs of developing nations.
