Ukraine strikes two oil refineries deep inside Russia

Kyiv’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that a series of recent strikes on Russian economic targets are intended to curb the revenue streams Moscow relies on to fund its war in Ukraine. The attacks, which have focused on oil‑refining complexes, fuel depots and related logistics infrastructure in Russia’s western regions, were carried out by Ukrainian forces with the explicit aim of reducing the flow of cash that supports the Russian military effort.
