Ukraine reports strike on Russian oil refinery and airfield while Russia claims attacks on Ukrainian Black Sea ports

Russia’s defence ministry announced that overnight military operations struck Ukrainian ports and vessels operating in the Black Sea. The statement said that missile and artillery fire targeted facilities in the coastal cities of Odesa, Mykolaiv and other maritime hubs, as well as several commercial and naval ships docked or transiting the waterway.

The attacks come amid heightened tensions in the ongoing Russia‑Ukraine conflict, where control of Black Sea access remains a strategic priority for both sides.
