Ukraine intensifies attacks on Russian shipping to pressure Crimea

Ukraine’s armed forces have intensified a campaign against Russian‑occupied Crimea, reporting that hundreds of targets have been hit in a matter of weeks. The strikes, which the Ukrainian defense ministry says employ a mix of long‑range missiles, loitering munitions and unmanned aerial vehicles, are intended to erode the logistical and defensive infrastructure that underpins Moscow’s control of the peninsula.

According to officials, the attacks have focused on radar installations, ammunition depots, command posts and supply routes, causing temporary disruptions to Russian air‑defence coverage and transport networks. Russian authorities have acknowledged some damage but claim that their overall operational capability in the region remains intact, while warning of “swift and decisive” retaliation.
