TP-Link announces Archer 8 Ultra router and Deco 8 Ultra mesh system at IFA 2026

TP‑Link unveiled its first Wi‑Fi 8‑ready devices at IFA 2026, announcing the Archer 8 Ultra tri‑band router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system. Both products are designed to take advantage of the forthcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard, which is still in development but promises to improve real‑world connectivity rather than merely boosting raw throughput.

The Archer 8 Ultra is built with 18 internal antennas and can deliver wireless speeds of up to 19 Gbps, with a wired maximum of 10 Gbps. The Deco 8 Ultra mesh system offers a slightly higher wireless ceiling of 22 Gbps while matching the router’s 10 Gbps wired capability. TP‑Link highlighted that the new hardware targets the connectivity issues users actually experience, positioning the devices as the first commercial offerings to adopt the next‑generation Wi‑Fi standard.
