Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's funeral procession moves through Tehran

Crowds filled the streets of Tehran as the funeral procession for Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, began on Sunday. The solemn march, led by senior clerics and military officials, moved through the city’s main avenues toward the Imam Ali Mosque, where the leader’s body will be laid to rest. Thousands of mourners lined the route, many wearing black clothing and displaying the flag of the Islamic Republic.

The procession followed a traditional route that has been used for past funerals of high‑ranking officials, passing by key government buildings and the mausoleum of the country’s founding leader.
