A recent study found that older adults who altered the balance of fat, carbohydrates, and animal protein in their diets exhibited measurable reductions in biological age after just four weeks. Researchers assigned participants to various dietary patterns, adjusting macronutrient ratios while keeping overall caloric intake constant, and then assessed biological age using established epigenetic clocks.
The most pronounced effect was observed in participants following an omnivorous diet that was lower in fat and higher in carbohydrates compared with other regimens.
