Speedo launches removable iQ module for Vanquisher goggles to track all four swim strokes

Speedo has introduced a detachable smart module for its Vanquisher goggles, branded as the Speedo iQ system, that records a swimmer’s metrics across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. The device attaches to the goggles and employs swim‑specific sensors to monitor head movement, count breaths and calculate distance per stroke, then relays the data wirelessly to a companion mobile app once the swimmer exits the water. Unlike competing products such as Form’s smart goggles, the iQ module does not feature an integrated display, relying instead on post‑session analysis through the app.

The iQ system is marketed as a plug‑and‑play upgrade that can be added to existing Vanquisier goggles without altering their optics. By separating the sensor unit from the visual component, Speedo aims to provide performance insights while preserving the traditional swimming experience. The company says the module is compatible with current Vanquisier models and will be available later this year, expanding the range of data‑driven training tools for competitive and recreational swimmers.
