Spain's Guadalajara wildfire burns 32,000 hectares as France also fights fires

A wildfire raging in Spain’s Guadalajara province has scorched approximately 32,000 hectares of forest and scrubland, making it one of the nation’s largest recorded blazes. The fire, which ignited in early July, quickly spread across the mountainous terrain of the Sierra Norte region, prompting the deployment of more than 300 firefighters, aerial water bombers, and military personnel to contain the flames.

Authorities report that the blaze has forced the evacuation of several small villages and disrupted local agriculture, while air quality warnings have been issued for nearby towns.
