Seven killed in Gaza after Israeli strike destroys aid warehouse

The Gaza Health Ministry issued an urgent warning on Friday, stating that the territory is on the brink of a “complete collapse of the basic necessities of life” as Israeli military operations persist. The ministry reported that essential services—including water, electricity, food distribution and medical supplies—are rapidly deteriorating, leaving hospitals overwhelmed and civilian populations increasingly vulnerable. According to the ministry, more than 12,000 people have been killed and over 28,000 injured since the latest round of hostilities began, while thousands of health facilities have been damaged or rendered inoperable.

International humanitarian agencies have echoed the ministry’s concerns, calling for immediate access to deliver aid and for a cessation of hostilities to prevent further degradation of living conditions. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warned that without a swift resupply of water, fuel and medical equipment, the health system could cease functioning entirely, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The health ministry’s alert underscores the escalating strain on Gaza’s infrastructure as the conflict continues, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated relief efforts.
