Security Council to Discuss Yemen After Houthi Attacks

The United Nations Security Council will convene in New York on Thursday at 3 p.m. to address the latest escalation in the Yemen conflict. The meeting follows a series of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia that occurred on Tuesday, as well as the militants’ seizure of an additional key port on Yemen’s Red Sea coast.

According to reports, the Houthi movement also captured eight United Nations vehicles from a critical aid hub at the port, raising concerns about the safety of humanitarian operations in the region.
