Saudi-French Strategic Partnership Council to Sign Agreements on Aug 24

On August 24, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and French President Emmanuel Macron will convene the inaugural session of the Saudi‑French Strategic Partnership Council. The meeting, scheduled to take place in Paris, aims to deepen bilateral ties across economic, cultural and security domains. The leaders are expected to sign a series of agreements that will formalise the partnership and lay the groundwork for future collaboration.

Among the key deals announced are a joint venture to develop a Dragon‑Ball‑themed amusement park in the Paris region, a project that will bring a popular Japanese franchise to French audiences and create new tourism opportunities. In addition, France is set to sell advanced military equipment to Saudi Arabia, a move that underscores the growing defence cooperation between the two countries. The agreements reflect a broader strategy to expand trade, technology exchange and security cooperation as both nations seek to strengthen their global influence.
