Russian drone hits Ukraine SBU headquarters in Kyiv

A Russian drone hit the headquarters of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) on Friday, President Volodymyr Zelensky said, alleging that the attack was directed at the personal office of the SBU chief. The strike, which damaged the building in Kyiv, was described by the president as a deliberate attempt by Moscow to target the agency’s leadership. Zelensky announced that he had ordered the SBU to deliver an “appropriate, tangible response” to the incident.

Ukraine’s foreign minister, Andriy Sybiga, called the drone attack a “major escalation” in the ongoing conflict, underscoring the heightened tension between the two nations.
