Russian airports see record closures amid Ukrainian drone attacks

Ukraine’s drone campaign has forced an average of 32 airport closures per day across 32 Russian airports, including major hubs in Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to recent aviation data. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned airlines and insurers that “the days of safety in Russia’s skies are over,” underscoring the heightened risk posed by the ongoing drone attacks.
