RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro rugged phone with detachable camera launches on Kickstarter

RugOne has unveiled its Xsnap 7 Pro, a rugged smartphone that carries both IP68 and IP69K certifications. The dual ratings mean the device can withstand intense water blasts and remain fully functional after being submerged for up to 30 minutes, a feature that appeals to field workers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

What distinguishes the Xsnap 7 Pro from other rugged phones is its detachable rear camera module. One of the three lenses can be removed and operated as a standalone action camera, a capability that was first shown at Mobile World Congress 2026. The product will launch on Kickstarter on September 7th for €799 (about $930) in limited quantities, with a worldwide retail release slated for October at $999. RugOne notes that while the detachable camera offers robust performance, it is not quite as capable as the DJI Osmo Nano or the Insta360 Go Ultra in certain use cases.
