Roman Telescope Begins Commissioning on Journey to L2
The Roman Space Telescope is currently on a three‑month transit from Earth to the Sun‑Earth Lagrange Point 2 (L2). During this cruise, the spacecraft is undergoing commissioning—a critical phase in which all scientific and support systems are powered up, tuned, and calibrated to verify that the telescope meets its design specifications before it begins its primary science mission.
