Rescuers Save Chinese Worker and Nepali Woman from Nepal Flood Wreckage

Rescue teams in Nepal have intensified their efforts after the country’s monsoon floods pushed the death toll past 1,331, with hundreds still unaccounted for on both sides of the affected river basins. The disaster, triggered by unprecedented rainfall and the overflow of several glacial lakes, has devastated communities across the central and eastern districts, destroying homes, infrastructure and agricultural lands.
