Qatar's Former Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani Dies

Former Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani died on Monday at the age of 71. The former head of state, who ruled from 1995 until his abdication in 2013, passed away in Doha after a brief illness, according to the Al‑Jazeera news agency.
