Qatar’s foreign ministry said the Gulf state will increase its mediation activities, aiming to create conditions for dialogue and to prevent further deterioration of security in the Middle East. Qatar’s efforts are centered on three priorities: de‑escalation of hostilities, fostering direct communication between the parties, and restoring unrestricted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for oil shipments. Officials indicated that Doha will coordinate with regional actors and international partners to facilitate confidence‑building measures and to ensure the free flow of commerce. The Qatari government affirmed its commitment to diplomatic solutions as the primary means of stabilizing the area.
