Polish teen accused of sabotage for Russia, aimed to stir Poland-Ukraine tensions

Polish security services have warned that a recent disinformation campaign was designed to provoke ethnic tensions between Poland and Ukraine. The Internal Security Agency (ABW) said that the operation, which involved the spread of false narratives on social media and messaging platforms, sought to exploit the sizable Ukrainian diaspora in Poland and undermine bilateral relations. According to the agency, the content portrayed Ukrainian refugees and migrants in a negative light, encouraging hostility and mistrust among Polish citizens.

The ABW has opened a criminal investigation into the actors behind the campaign, noting that preliminary analysis points to coordination with foreign intelligence services. Officials emphasized that the Polish government remains committed to safeguarding social cohesion and protecting the rights of all residents, including the approximately 1.5 million Ukrainians currently living in the country. The investigation continues as authorities work to identify the sources and prevent further attempts to destabilize Polish‑Ukrainian relations.
