Opposition MP Throws Eggs at Kosovo Prime Minister

A parliamentary session in Kosovo was disrupted when an opposition lawmaker hurled eggs at Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The incident occurred during a debate on the government’s recent policy proposals, with the egg‑throwing taking place in the House of Representatives chamber. The lawmaker, whose name has not yet been released by the opposition party, was quickly restrained by security staff and subsequently escorted out of the building.

Kurti, who has been leading the coalition government since last month, was not physically harmed, but the episode prompted a brief interruption of the proceedings. According to the Speaker of the Assembly, the session was resumed after a short pause and the government’s agenda was continued. Security officials later confirmed that no other members were injured and that the eggs were retrieved and disposed of on the spot.
