Nvidia to launch RTX Spark laptops with N1X chip in October

Nvidia confirmed that its long‑awaited Arm‑based RTX Spark chips will debut in October, with the N1X model slated for inclusion in two distinct laptop configurations. Earlier speculation had highlighted both an N1 and an N1X chip, but the company clarified that the N1 will not be released this year. The forthcoming N1X will power RTX Spark laptops, offering a “mini PC” variant and a top‑tier version that features a 6144‑core Blackwell RTX GPU, a 20‑core Grace CPU, and between 24 GB and 128 GB of unified memory.

The high‑end N1X configuration is expected to appear in premium laptops as well as compact devices such as Microsoft’s Surface RTX series, expanding Nvidia’s portfolio of Arm‑based computing solutions. By delivering both a compact and a performance‑focused option, Nvidia aims to address a range of professional and consumer workloads ahead of the broader rollout of its RTX Spark platform.
