Notting Hill Carnival Returns for 60th Anniversary

The Notting Hill Carnival will return to West London for its 60th anniversary, celebrating six decades of British Afro‑Caribbean culture. The annual festival, which has become a staple of the city’s cultural calendar, will feature music, dancing and colourful costumes along the streets of Notting Hill and surrounding areas.

Organisers have confirmed that the event will run from Friday to Sunday, with a schedule of live performances from reggae, soca, calypso and dancehall artists, alongside street vendors and community displays. In addition to the traditional parade, the carnival will host workshops and exhibitions that highlight the history and influence of Afro‑Caribbean communities in the United Kingdom.

The 60th edition marks a milestone for the festival, which began in 1966 as a protest against racial tensions. By 2026, it has grown into a global showcase of Caribbean heritage, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and reinforcing Notting Hill’s reputation as a vibrant, multicultural hub.
