Nepal flood sweeps away multiple family members, survivor reports

A woman in the small town of Willow Creek reported that her father, mother, sister, and her sister’s children were taken from her home early this morning. According to the Willow Creek Police Department, the abduction occurred around 6:45 a.m. when the woman was at work, and she witnessed the suspects—identified as two men in dark clothing—enter her residence and forcibly remove the family members before she could intervene.

The police have launched a search operation and are asking anyone with information to come forward. The Department released a statement saying that the victims are believed to be alive but are currently unaccounted for. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and have requested assistance from neighboring jurisdictions to locate the suspects and the missing family members.

The Willow Creek community has expressed concern over the incident, with several residents offering support to the victim’s family. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area during the time of the abduction to contact the Willow Creek Police Department or the national missing persons hotline.
