Montana Enacts Right to Try Law

Kris DeVault’s son, Brody, was born in March 2023 and began showing signs of developmental delay shortly thereafter. According to DeVault, the infant missed several key milestones in speech, movement, and coordination, prompting increasing concern for the family.

At approximately two and a half years old, a genetic test was performed to investigate the underlying cause of Brody’s delays. The test identified a rare genetic condition that explains the observed developmental challenges. Early genetic diagnosis is critical for guiding treatment plans and connecting families with specialized care resources.

DeVault remains focused on securing the best possible care for Brody. With the diagnosis in hand, the family can now pursue targeted therapies and support services aimed at improving Brody’s developmental trajectory.
