Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a written message on Saturday that was broadcast on state television, in which he warned the United States that Iran would “teach the US unforgettable lessons.” The statement came amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, following a recent attack on a U.S. military base in Jordan.

U.S. Central Command confirmed that the attack, which involved Iranian fire, resulted in the first U.S. troop deaths attributed to Iranian forces. Two service members were killed and a third was reported missing. The incident marks a significant escalation, as it is the first time U.S. personnel have been lost in a strike linked directly to Iran.
