ITV Secures 2027 Rugby World Cup Rights and England Men's International Deal

ITV has secured a landmark agreement to broadcast the 2027 men’s Rugby World Cup, reinforcing its role as the primary UK broadcaster for international rugby. The deal, which grants the commercial network live rights to the tournament, also extends its coverage of England men’s internationals through to 2029. This follows an existing partnership that includes a shared Six Nations Championship arrangement with the BBC, under which ITV holds two-thirds of the tournament’s live games and all England matches.

In addition to the World Cup, ITV has acquired live rights for all matches of the 2026 and 2028 editions of the Nations Championship, a new global competition set to debut this Saturday. The inaugural tournament features six teams, including high-profile fixtures such as New Zealand v France and South Africa v England. The extended coverage cements ITV’s dominance in the UK market for international rugby, offering viewers a comprehensive schedule of live action across multiple global events.
