IRGC releases video showing retaliatory missile strikes

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran released a video on Sunday depicting a series of missile launches that the organization described as a retaliatory strike against targets in Israel. The footage, posted on the IRGC’s official channels, shows mobile launch platforms firing a salvo of short‑range missiles that travel across a desert landscape before impacting designated sites. In an accompanying statement, the IRGC said the operation was carried out in response to the Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consular building in Damascus on April 1, which killed several Iranian personnel.

According to the IRGC, the missiles struck military installations in the southern district of Ashkelon, causing damage to infrastructure and prompting a temporary suspension of civilian flights from nearby airfields. Israeli officials confirmed that missile fragments were recovered but reported no casualties. The United States and European Union called for restraint, while the United Nations urged both sides to avoid further escalation.
