Iranians report doubled fuel prices and unaffordable basic food items

Euroneur​s Farsi conducted an exclusive interview series with a cross‑section of citizens—including drivers, small‑business owners and salaried employees—to document the immediate repercussions of a sudden, overnight doubling of fuel prices. Respondents described a sharp rise in transportation costs that has eroded household budgets, forced many drivers to curtail routes or abandon work, and pushed small enterprises into operating losses as delivery expenses and utility bills surged beyond sustainable levels.
