Indonesia Air Force Airlifted 13 Tons of Aid After Quake

The Indonesian Air Force announced that it has delivered 13 tonnes of emergency aid to affected areas by air. The cargo was transported on two Hercules C‑130 transport aircraft and one Boeing 737, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Defence. The shipment includes essential supplies such as food, water, medical kits and temporary shelter materials intended to support communities impacted by recent natural disasters.

The aid operation was launched in response to the latest wave of flooding and landslides that have struck several provinces in the country. Local authorities have reported widespread displacement and infrastructure damage, prompting the military to mobilise its airlift capabilities. The delivery is part of a broader humanitarian effort coordinated by the Indonesian government, which has also deployed ground teams and additional aircraft to facilitate distribution and assess damage.

Officials say the 13‑tonne load will be distributed over the next few days as part of an ongoing relief campaign. The Air Force will continue to monitor the situation and provide further assistance as needed, while civilian agencies work to restore normal services to the affected regions.
