Indian student protests call for removal of education minister after exam‑leak pledge

Leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) have publicly called for the dismissal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, issuing a formal statement that the minister should be removed from his post. The demand was announced during a press conference in New Delhi, where CJP spokesperson Anjali Mehta said the party’s decision reflects growing dissatisfaction with the minister’s handling of recent educational reforms and alleged administrative lapses.

The CJP’s demand follows a series of student protests and criticism from opposition parties over the implementation of the National Education Policy amendments introduced earlier this year. While the Ministry of Education has defended Pradhan’s performance, citing increased enrollment figures and new digital initiatives, the CJP has pledged to pursue a parliamentary motion to initiate a debate on the minister’s tenure.
