Huawei launches Mate XT 2 trifold with privacy display in China

Huawei has unveiled its third trifold device, the Mate XT 2, in China, marking a clear shift toward the inward‑folding design pioneered by Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold. The new model also becomes the first foldable phone to feature a privacy‑enhancing display, a technology Samsung introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year. The Mate XT 2 follows the company’s earlier Mate XT, which entered the Chinese market in late 2024 and was later released internationally.
