Google Launches AI-Enabled MCP Server for Google Home Devices

Google announced that it will open early access to a new Multi‑Channel Platform (MCP) server for Google Home. The server will enable AI agents—including Claude, ChatGPT, and other third‑party models—to interact with users’ connected devices through natural‑language commands. In addition to controlling lights, thermostats, and other smart appliances, the platform will allow agents to review camera summaries and retrieve smart‑home activity logs.
