GM to Introduce In-Vehicle AI System
General Motors announced that it will introduce a proprietary in‑vehicle artificial intelligence system later this year, designed to provide a more personalized experience for its customers. The automaker said the new platform will be integrated across its vehicle lineup and will leverage data from driver habits, vehicle performance and connected services to deliver tailored recommendations, voice‑activated controls and predictive maintenance alerts.
The rollout follows a broader industry push toward embedded AI, as manufacturers seek to differentiate their infotainment offerings and improve safety and convenience features. GM indicated that the system will be built on its existing software architecture and will support over‑the‑air updates, allowing continuous enhancement after launch. The company expects the AI suite to be available in select models before expanding to its full range of vehicles by the end of the year.
