Giant LEGO World Cup Trophy Unveiled in New York

A massive replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy, constructed from 1.36 million Lego bricks, was unveiled on Tuesday at New York’s Rockefeller Plaza. The installation, created by Brazilian football legend Cafu in collaboration with Lego designer Christophe Vietti, stands as one of the largest Lego sculptures ever assembled and mirrors the iconic silver cup awarded to World Cup champions.

The towering model, measuring over three meters in height, was assembled over several months and will remain on display at the plaza for the duration of the city’s summer attractions program. Organizers said the exhibit aims to celebrate the global reach of football while highlighting Lego’s capacity for large‑scale artistic projects, offering visitors a chance to view the detailed recreation up close before it is relocated to future public venues.
