Primate Labs Unveils Geekbench 7, Latest Generation of Benchmarking Tool

Primate Labs has announced the release of Geekbench 7, a new iteration of its widely used benchmarking software. The latest version introduces several key improvements, including new video and audio encoding/decoding tests, a redesigned multi-core test, and larger, more demanding datasets for CPUs and GPUs. These enhancements aim to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of system performance, particularly in areas such as media processing and multi-threaded workloads.

Geekbench 7 retains the same user interface and functionality as its predecessor, making it easy for users to transition to the new version. A Pro license for Geekbench 7 will continue to cost $99, with a temporary discount of $20 available until August 6th. The Pro version allows for offline benchmarking, eliminating the need to upload results to the Geekbench Browser. Geekbench 7 supports all compatible desktop platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
