French DJ Kavinsky found dead at 50 in Paris

French DJ and musician Kavinsky, whose real name was Vincent Belorgey, was found dead at his Paris home, prosecutors announced on Wednesday. The self‑taught pianist, best known for the electronic track “Nightcall” and his work on the soundtrack of the 2011 film *Drive*, was 50 at the time of his death and would have turned 51 on Friday.

Investigators have not yet released details on the cause of death, and no foul play has been indicated. Belorgey, who had gained international recognition through his distinctive synth‑wave style, had been active in the music scene for over a decade, releasing several albums and collaborating with other artists.
