Framework Lowers RAM Prices for Laptop 13 Pro

Framework has announced a temporary reduction in the price of RAM for its Laptop 13 Pro, a move aimed at easing the impact of the ongoing semiconductor shortage. Following a July price hike for the laptop’s memory, the company secured a limited supply of Micron 32‑GB and 64‑GB LPCAMM2 memory modules at a lower cost. The manufacturer said it will pass those savings on to customers, lowering the cost of the memory for both units already shipped and a subset of pending pre‑orders.

The price cut applies only to the specific memory configurations that Framework has secured, and the new rates remain above the original launch price of the Laptop 13 Pro. The company emphasized its commitment to keeping its devices accessible in a challenging supply‑chain environment, noting that the reduction is a “rare, positive update” amid the broader component shortage.
