Four children killed and aid supplies destroyed in Gaza attacks

Israeli airstrikes in Gaza resulted in the deaths of four children and the destruction of humanitarian aid supplies, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Friday. The incidents occurred during what OCHA described as a “deadly week” in the densely populated enclave, where the conflict has already caused extensive civilian casualties and widespread displacement.

The UN agency said the strikes hit a convoy of aid trucks and a residential area, wiping out essential food, medical and water supplies intended for vulnerable families. OCHA added that the loss of life and material further strains the already fragile humanitarian response, which is grappling with limited access, security risks and the need to protect civilians under international law. The agency called for immediate measures to safeguard aid operations and civilian populations as the conflict continues.
