Failings Found in Handling of Complaint Against Suspect in Lyhanna's Killing

Three weeks after the body of 11-year-old Lyhanna was found following her disappearance from the French town of Fleurance, investigators have uncovered serious failings in the handling of an earlier complaint against the main suspect. The Interior Minister has sought disciplinary action against two gendarmerie officers, while the Prime Minister said the inspection revealed that "the chain of protection failed."
